Sea Destiny Ship Management Inc. is committed to persistently reduce the environmental impact of managed shore and shipboard operations on sea, land and air by establishing the appropriate controls & programs to minimize any such adverse impact to the environment.
Its policy comprises of all prerequisite elements complying with all applicable National and International rules and regulations to establish a proactive approach towards environmental protection and pollution prevention and in addition requires to:

  • Continuously evaluate environmental aspects, impacts and associated risks from shore and seaboard operations and establish reduction measures.
  • Actively promote environmental awareness through training and education
  • Focusing on minimising pollutants at source through effective maintenance and supply of spares
  • Promote energy conversation programs on board managed vessels in order to reduce the environmental impact of generated emissions from burning of fossil fuels.
  • Ensuring that residual wastes are disposed of in a safe and responsible manner, paying special attention to hazardous waste generated on board
  • Expect suppliers and contractors to promote equivalent environmental protection practices to their services offered
  • Cooperation with third party organizations that adhere to all environmental laws and regulations
  • Regularly provide assurance that the processes in place are working effectively

  • To prevent damage to the ship, her cargo and the environment
  • To minimise the impact of the company’s operations to the environment and to aim to zero spills operations
  • To promote health awareness on board and to provide practical support
  • To assess all identified risks to its ships, personnel and the environment, to establish safeguards against identified risks and to operate the ships within ALARP (“as low as reasonably practicable”) levels of risk
  • To continuously improve Safety Management skills of personnel ashore and aboard ships, including preparing for emergencies related both to Safety & Environmental Protection.
